Welcome to Imua Family Services!  The word Imua in Hawaiian means to “move forward.”  We are a non-profit, community based organization serving Maui, Molokai and Lana’i.

Our Mission is to empower children and their families to reach their full potential.  Our programs and staff assist children and their families overcome developmental learning challenges in their most critical formative years using play-based instruction designed to help them move forward.

Dr. Martin Luther King said, “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do keep moving forward.”  For me this rings true, because its not about the abilities we have or don’t have, its about reaching for our dreams, about being included, happy and finding our sense of place in our community.
