LAHAINA, HI, September 5, 2018 – SongDivision lives to unite people through music. With over 15 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies in over 30 countries, they know a thing or two about using musical experiences to reinforce corporate values, strengthen company relationships, and build meaningful brands. SongDivision also believes strongly in helping others, and have created an annual event called ‘Battle of the Bosses’ to uniquely tie together corporate culture and philanthropy, along with the fantasy we all share of being rockstars.

One of the most recognizable bosses on the planet, Sir Richard Branson, has experienced SongDivision first-hand with 1,500 of his employees, declaring it “a great company connecting employees and customers using the power of music.”

Battle of the Bosses is an all-out music competition where leaders of major companies take the stage with a band of talented employees from all corners of their businesses, rock out for a live audience, and raise money for charitable causes. The event was conceived from the idea that many business leaders have a connection with music and also seek opportunities to give back in ways more meaningful than simply writing a check.

“We have always found that there is musical talent within every company, and from experience, we know that there are plenty of business leaders who are passionate about music. We also recognize that companies care deeply about helping those in need, and seek ways to encourage employee participation in these causes.” – Andy Sharpe, CEO, SongDivision

The first ever Battle of the Bosses will take place on Maui, Saturday September 22nd, benefitting Imua Family Services, and includes rockstars from the Four Seasons Resort at Wailea and Andaz at Wailea. SongDivision believes strongly in Imua’s mission – “Empower children and their families to reach their full potential” – and has been a supporting partner of the organization through events such as the Color Festival Hawaii.

“I have always believed that if you want to get different results you have to step out on a limb and do something different! What could be more different for Maui’s top executives than taking the stage in a Rock Band format while team building with their companies and supporting Imua Family Services? Everybody wins – or should I say everybody ROCKS!” – Dean Wong, Executive Director, Imua Family Services

MC for the evening will be SongDivision’s John Lombardo, who has toured with the likes of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins.  In his words, “employee participation is integral to creating a fun, supportive atmosphere and reinforcing the purpose of the event – we guarantee the audience will have as much fun as the bands on stage.”

Future Battle of the Bosses are planned to take place annually in the US, Australia, UK, and Asia benefitting additional charities.

Attendance to the event at Mick Fleetwood’s own ‘Fleetwood’s on Front St.’ is by invite only, however, those interested can see exclusive content via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #BattleOfTheBosses, @SongDivision, and @ImuaFamily.
