Wailuku, HI, “At Ohana Fuels, the first priority is “family” and everyone who lives in the neighborhoods Ohana Fuels serves.” Imua Family Services is pleased to announce through the months of October, November and December, every purchase of gasoline at an Ohana Fuels Locations on Maui will help support the many children and families of Imua Family Services as part of its “Fuel Up. Do Good program.”

Today, Imua Family Services provides comprehensive early childhood development services to children and their families with the support and resources needed to achieve their full potential in life.  Each year, over 3000 community members on Maui and Lanai receive support from Imua Family Services through the Infant & Child Development Program, Early Childhood Development Program, Newborn Hearing Screening, and Camp Imua.

Dean Wong, Executive Director of Imua Family Services commented, “I am both grateful and thrilled that Ohana Fuels reached out to partner with Imua Family Services over the next quarter. It’s an amazing opportunity for local businesses and local nonprofits to work together for the better of our community and to meet the needs of our many families.  We encourage everyone to fuel up at any Ohana Fuels locations so that the most good can flow back into our community.”

2014 continues to be an exciting year of “expansion and growth” for Imua Family Services. Currently the organization is in collaboration with Easter Seals Hawaii to convert the old Maui Land & Pine 10,000 square foot property on Wakea Ave in what will become the Imua Family Services, Early Childhood Training and Development Center. Building is on course for early 2015 completion and opening.

This new facility will allow the organization to expand services and programs providing specialized services to Maui’s children with special needs, while providing Maui with a new state-of-the-art facility complete with innovative therapy rooms, designated areas for family counseling and activities, an inclusion preschool facility, education and training center, offices spaces for over 45 staff members and an inclusion outdoor covered playground.

It is because of successful partnerships with locally minded business such as Ohana Fuels that allow nonprofits like Imua Family Services to reach goals, meet expenses and provide necessary services to our families.
