Imua Family Services Voted Best Places to Work again in 2017

Kahului, HI, Thursday, March 30, 2017

Hawaii Business Magazine has named Imua Family Services one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in Hawaii for the sixth consecutive year.  The list of “Best Places to Work” is published annually by Hawaii Business Magazine. As in previous years, the data from Imua Family Services employees was gathered and analyzed by the Best Companies Group – an independent research organization which conducts similar research in states throughout the nation. Imua Family Services was previously awarded the Best Places to Work award in 2008, 2010, and for six years in a row since 2012.

The survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawaii and the nation.  Selection is based on a comprehensive review of each organization’s benefits, career development, training and retention as well as feedback from employees through an extensive survey. Imua received their 2017 award on Thursday, March 30th at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu in a ceremony honoring all the companies who were given the award.

“I love to come to work because there is always something new and exciting to look forward to.  I get to witness the changes each week that happen to the kids who come visit us.  Imua’s “Play it Forward” philosophy really does work and I get to see the progress in their development, which is very rewarding,” says Front Desk Manager, Jessica Snow.

“This is a special year for us at Imua Family Services as we are celebrate our 70th Anniversary providing services to the children of Maui County.  This organization has touched so many lives over the span of 70 years.  The staff and Board of Directors are committed to our mission of ‘Empowering children and their families to reach their full potential.’  I am always impressed at the caring dedication that the Imua staff exhibits and I’m proud to be a part of such a great organization,” says Executive Director, Dean Wong.

Imua Family Services will mark their 70th Anniversary at the sold out Platinum Jubliee featuring Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren on Saturday, April 8th at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.  Tickets are still available to the Platinum After Party which features the Eric Gilliom Band and Next Level Entertainment and will keep Ka’anapli Beach jumping until 2am.
