Kokua Outreach Program Announces Open Enrollment Assistance Events for Maui, Molokai, & Lanai

Imua Family Services and the Kokua Outreach Program will be holding Open Enrollment Events designed to assist with health insurance enrollment for those who are uninsured or under insured. The program has an emphasis on people from the Micronesian Islands, but is open to all residents of Maui County.
Open enrollment runs through December 15, 2019 for coverage beginning in January of 2020. A number of community events are planned to assist those who need help completing the application process and are listed below:
Kahului
Imua Family Services, 161 S. Wakea Avenue
November 13th, 20th & 27th / December 4th & 11th from 8:30am-3pm

Kihei
St. Theresa Catholic Church, 25 W. Lipoa Street
• November 12th, 19th & 26th / December 3rd & 10th from 9am-4pm
Lahaina
Imua Family Services, 930 Waine’e Street
• November 16th & 30th / December 7th & 14th from 10am-3pm

Lanai
Lanai Community Health Center, 333 Sixth Street
• November 8th from 10:30am – 4:00pm

Makawao
Makawao Public Library, 1159 Makawao Avenue
• November 25th / December 2nd & 19th from 3:30pm-7pm

Molokai
Imua Family Services, 30 Oki Place, Kaunakakai
• November 22nd from 10-2:30pm

Paia
Paia Elementary School, 955 Baldwin Avenue
• November 21st / December 12th from 3pm—7pm

In addition to the planned Community Events, walk in appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm at the Malama I Ke Ola Health Center at 1881 Nani Street in Wailuku. Applicants who wish to enroll should bring the following information:
• Birthdates, Social Security Numbers and Income Verification (Pay stubs)
• Immigration Status & Documentation (if applicable)
• Policy numbers for current health plans
• Login info for healthcare.gov (if applicable)
