Camp Coordinator: Maile John
Maile comes from a 7 year background working in the non-profit sector at the Maui AIDS Foundation as the women and youth outreach educator and HIV counselor tester. Maile has also worked with the Department Of Health providing HIV counseling and testing and STD screening referrals to at risk women and youth and also with the CHOW Project. Maile brings her knowledge of empowering youth to create solid and sound life choices to the Camp Imua program. A plus is that she makes the Camp Imua program fun and exciting, working with many Maui community members and donors each year to create one of the finest camps for children with special needs in the state.
Camp Manager: Ben Callahan
Camp Imua welcomes Ben Callahan as this year’s Camp Manager. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Oregaon and went on to receive his Post-Baccalaureate in Special Education from the University of Hawaii. Ben currently works as a Special Education Teacher at Kula Elementary. He has volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club and Women Helping Women amongst other local causes. Ben enjoys outdoor activities including: hiking, disc golf and gardening.
Camp Manager Assistant: Dylan Bode
Camp Imua welcomes long time Camp Imua volunteer Dylan Bode as this year’s Camp Manager assistant. Dylan graduated from Henry Perrine Baldwin High School and has extensive experience working with keiki ranging from Pre-K to High School. Dylan is also a volunteer with Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) and Special Olympics. Dylan enjoys theatre and has participated in various productions around the island.
