Imua’s Keiki Holiday Toy Drive – We Need TOYS for our Keiki!
Warmest island greetings from Imua Family Services.
As you know Imua Family Services provides children on Maui with developmental delays the help and support they need to thrive in life and reach their fullest potential. The children and families we serve are from infant to age 3 in our Infant Childhood Development Programs and age 3 to age 6 in our Early Childhood Development Programs, we also conduct Newborn Hearing Screening at Maui Memorial Medical Center and each year conduct Camp Imua.
The Holidays are a very meaningful time for keiki and so each year we host a holiday party complete with Santa and his helpers, lunch and a toy specific toy appropriate to each child’s needs.
In difficult financial times the costs of caring for a child with special needs has a critical impact on families often pushing the holidays to the back burner. On behalf of the children and families we serve, as well as the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of Imua Family Services, we ask for toy donations or resources to help make this happen.
This year, the children’s holiday party is Wednesday, December 11th. We will be collecting donations up to Monday, December 9th. Volunteers will be coordinated to wrap and tag the gifts on December 10th. Together we have over 400 children to gift this year.
Imua Family Services serves over 3000 community members Annually through our therapeutic early intervention programs. We could not do this without the ongoing support of our community.
Thank you for considering this donation. If you have any questions, please contact myself Dean Wong or Priscilla Veilleux at 244-7467 ext 222.
